Emily Hanna is a Cleveland, Ohio–born photojournalist currently based in Washington, D.C. She works as a photographer documenting the U.S. government and political landscape, as well as the energy and character of the nation’s capital. Beyond Washington, she reports nationally and internationally, covering breaking news and long-form stories, including assignments in high-conflict and challenging environments. She is a member of the National Press Photographers Association and Women Photojournalists of Washington.
